Good stuff but you could have achieved the same results by going to one of thousands of cocktail parties or dinner in NYC on any given night.

Dear Mr. Klein:

Thank you for that little expose'. My sister left Target corporation(company of elites) to work for Walmart, and has been promoted five times in less than three years. Her boss started out as a stock-girl, and moved up the ladder over 25 years to be my sister's boss(My sister makes a 6-figure income now, and has a college degree).

What I've learned about Walmart is this: Their entire business model is: SERVE THE CUSTOMER, STUPID.

My sister flies coach on buying trips(to save for the customer). She gets a $25 a day stipend on those trips(to save the customer). She has to SHARE a hotel room on the road(to save for the customer).

Target Corporation will promotes college graduates ONLY. My sister got a job for one of my friends at Target, and he is LOVED as an employee, but hasn't been promoted in 5 years. Why? No college diploma.

Walmart employs more people in the WORLD than any other country. Isn't that a good thing?

I'm guessing that most of the socialists in the meeting you attended are college educated and unemployable.

Thanks for the great article!!

Great job. I heard one of their commercials on the radio yesterday, and thought it would be neat to do exactly what you did.

I'm not particularly well-informed on the topic, so I doubt I could hold my own in an argumentative situation & would have never thought to bring allies. Great idea!

I just know what I've heard -- Walmart has saved the American consumer Billions of dollars -- helped countless people enjoy the fruits of their labor to a greater extent than they otherwise might have. The people I see (shopping) in WalMart often don't look prosperous -- but they make me feel proud, somehow. Hard working people who are doing their best to get by.

I'm in ultra-liberal Madison, Wisconsin. Our county executive, who is probably going to be a strong candidate for Attorney General (Kathleen Faulk) was quoted recently as having said that she has Never been -- and would never shop -- at Walmart.

How's that for an elitist? I couldn't help but think that it certainly must be nice for her with that silver spoon in her mouth to be able to spend more money and never have to rub elbows with the working class Walmart customer.... I would love to see her Republican opponent beat her up with that quote a few times during next year's campaign...

I digress.. but thanks for the articl.e
