Tom Gross has this collection of Anti-Semitic cartoons from Arab countries, many of which are from so-called “moderate” nations. Funny, I don’t see Jewish gunmen in Brooklyn threatening to kidnap or attack any person they see from an Arab country as a result of the publication of these cartoons. But then again, Judaism actually is a religion of peace.

Good for you for noting that the Jewish religion and people are viciously maligned in the media throughout the Arab world every single day, often in ways that are not commentary, but hatred and the most base disrespect, pure and simple. This projection is extremely common, it seems, among many Muslim extremists: the sins they ascribe Jews/Israelis/Westerners–in this case, being disrespectful of others’ religion–are often their own.
Heather is sooooooooo right and I’m going to do something about it. I heard that some right-thinking, left-leaning liberals in the Hollywood community suggested that we show our vexation by refraining from eating shwarma and goat testicles for a week!
