About Philip Klein
Philip Klein is a New York-based opinion writer who believes in free markets and a strong national defense. Klein spent more than three years as a reporter at the New York bureau of Reuters, where he covered financial news. His news stories were published in The Los Angeles Times, The Chicago Tribune and The Philadelphia Inquirer among other newspapers throughout the world.
Since leaving Reuters in the fall of 2004, Klein has published columns and features on a variety of political issues in The American Spectator, Tech Central Station, The Dallas Morning News, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and The Washington Examiner. His columns can be read here.
He also serves as co-editor of Tax Watch, a quarterly publication of the Tax Foundation.
Klein holds a master's degree from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism and bachelor's degrees in history and economics from George Washington University, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa.
