This is priceless! However, as an ardent anti-communist who has a penchant for collecting over-the-top volumes from communist regimes, this hagiography pales in comparison to “Mao Zedong: Man Not God,” where readers discover precious tidbits like a chapter called “Mao’s Favorite Dish: Stewed Pork and Rice” and his justification for never brushing his teeth (“Does a tiger in the jungle brush his teeth?” he purportedly asked.)

Still, one hopes that I can get to a book review of Kim Jung “Don’t Call Him Ronery” Il’s “biography” within the next decade or so.

Just read your piece on Giuliani in the American Spectator. You said what I’ve been saying for months, that Giuliani’s relatively liberal positions on such issues as gay rights and gun ownership should not deter conservatives from getting behind him, because, as you pointed out, terrorism is the issue that overrides all others, and Giuliani is the best man to deal with that issue.

There’s another thing about Rudy that makes me a solid Giuliani man for 2008: I think he’s the only man who can beat Hillary Clinton. Conservatives, libertarians and anyone else who believes the war on terror is the key issue of our era should support Rudy Giuliani, as should all of us who agree that a Hillary Clinton presidency would be a catastrophe for America.

The guy who deserves the most credit for Lybia abandonning weapons of mass destruction is Michael Kappes, who with any luck will be Michael Hayden’s number 2 guy at the CIA. Hopefully for the good of the country Hayden will get approved.

Yes, the US needs to adopt the doctrine of Bin Laden and punish the population for voting for the wrong people. So what if the hospitals are deteorating and miserable Palestinians aren’t receiving medical care. That’s what they deserve. Glad to see it isn’t only the terrorists who devalue innocent life.

Oh please. Rumsfield made the analogy recently with Chavez in Venezuela. Saddam Hussein was Hitler. Pretty much every bad guy who gets in US crosshairs can be assured of being compared with Hitler. Later it will be somebody else. Its the usual hype that intellectuals love to participate in to mobilize support for aggression.
